Bayankhongor, November 25, 2024 /MONTSAME/.
Tomorrow marks the historic 100th anniversary of Mongolia’s adoption of its first Constitution and the proclamation of the Republic. To commemorate this occasion, a Citizenship Oath Ceremony will be held for representatives of 16-year-olds under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Mongolia. This marks the 22nd year the ceremony has been organized.
Each year, this event is held to instill patriotism in the younger generation, foster respect for the state, and encourage youth to live with integrity, take responsibility for their country and people, and take pride in Mongolia’s history and culture. As part of the ceremony, 16-year-old students take the citizenship oath and receive their national ID cards.
The event is jointly organized by the Bayankhongor Governor’s Office Youth Development Center, the Department of Culture, Arts, Tourism and Youth, the Civil Registration Office, the Education Department, the Mongolian Youth Federation in Bayankhongor, and Nomgon Television.
At the ceremony, young citizens pledge to fulfill their civic duties with honor, contribute to the development and prosperity of the nation, and live as honest and responsible members of society.
